Type of project
Social media campaign
What I did
Creative concept, animation storyboard, asset designs across multiple languages, campaign toolkit design
Brief
We were asked by the Office for Product Safety and Standards to create a social media campaign highlighting the risks of lithium-ion batteries in everyday products. The aim was to educate consumers on safe use and remind businesses of their legal responsibilities. A hard hitting but not scaremongering tone was required and the assets needed to work in English, French and Spanish.
Solution
I used a bold, uppercase typeface, and hazard tape graphic to create a serious look that grabs attention. This is balanced with photography of everyday products, grounding the message in familiar contexts. A blue overlay ensures the text and icons stand out clearly. The icons, inspired by universal warning symbols, communicate hidden dangers instantly across languages, while a red, yellow and black palette reinforces urgency and safety cues.
